Here are the FAQs

1.1. What are the points of correction CMA teachers consider while evaluating the copies? So that we can write the papers more effectively and score good. And how many pages do they expect for a question?

Answer:When preparing to answer a question in an examination, the material required depends significantly on the level of the examination and the guidelines provided by the examining body. Additionally, the length of your answer should be proportionate to the marks allocated for each question. Here's a structured approach to understanding and selecting the appropriate material and determining the length of your answers:

1.1.1. Understand the Examination Level:

  • Undergraduate/Intermediate Level: Requires a deeper understanding of subjects, often involving more detailed textbooks, academic papers, and supplementary materials recommended by the university.
  • Postgraduate/ Final Level: Involves advanced knowledge, critical analysis, and research. Materials include specialized textbooks, research journals, and publications specified by the academic institution.

1.1.2. Follow the Examining Body's Guidelines:
Always refer to the materials issued, released, or recommended by the examining body. These materials define the scope and depth of the content you need to study.

The examining body sets the boundaries of what should be studied, ensuring that you focus on the relevant content without going beyond what is necessary.

1.1.3. Determine the Length of Your Answer:
The length of the answer depends on the number of words you are required to write during the examination period, which is typically around 3000 words in three hours.
For a paper with a total of 100 marks, you should aim to write approximately 30 words per mark. This can be calculated as follows:
3000 words ÷ 100 marks = 30 words per mark
3000 words÷100 marks=30 words per mark.
For example, if a question is worth 5 marks, you should write
5×30=150 words.

1.1.4. Tailor Your Answer to the Examination Level:

  • Undergraduate/Inter Level: Answers should demonstrate a broader understanding, incorporating textbook knowledge and additional recommended readings.
  • Postgraduate/Final Level: Answers should reflect advanced understanding, critical analysis, and integration of research findings and specialized knowledge.

In summary, the material you use and the way you frame your answers should be aligned with the level of the examination and the recommendations of the examining body. Additionally, ensure your answers are appropriately lengthened based on the marks allocated, typically around 30 words per mark. This structured approach will help you prepare effectively and enhance your chances of success in the examination.
