Become an Expert in CA Theory Subjects Papers

Like any other exam, the CA exam also has both theory papers and practical exams. But when it comes to the CA theory exams students start to panic. Many students get confused about the syllabus and study material, and at the end a situation comes where we get unsatisfied results. According to a study, many students fail in theory papers and get frustrated and start blaming themselves for their failure. So what is the solution to become an expert in theory subjects?

Here we’ll discuss some factors that will help you to write your exams well and score good points:

1.   Language of the Paper: Everyone has their own way of writing an exam. It’s your choice how you are writing the exam. Your language should be simple and easy to understand. The examiner who is checking your answer sheet should be able to understand the concept that you are trying to explain.

2.   Understand the Concept Well: Understand everything well, your concept and your basics about the topic should be clear as the CA exam is very different from any other competitive exam. Your knowledge is more important than your technical skills. To gain good knowledge and understand the concepts well, you can go through those CA Entrance Exam books that provide good conceptual knowledge. When your concepts will be clear, only then you will be able to explain your answers.

3.   Make good Notes: Making notes will give your mind a chance to absorb the material it needs to learn. Not only this, it will also help you to do better in your exam. It’s also a great confidence booster when you're studying. If you want you can take the help of the best CA Intermediate Books for making good notes.

4.   You must keep an Inquisitive Attitude: Inquisitive attitude means you should have a curious attitude towards what you are learning. The questioning habit will always raise questions in your mind and you’ll be more curious to search for their answers. You can search for your answers on google or in some good CA Foundation Books.

5.   Use of complete Sentences: Always write complete sentences in your answers. When you start saying something in any sentence just complete it and then only move to the other. Your every next sentence should be relatable to the previous one. It should not happen that you have said something in your first sentence and suddenly start telling something else in the second. And at last conclude your whole answer.

6. Point-to-Point Approach: Point to point approach is also an important factor of writing your answer sheet. There is no need for any kind of storytelling in your answers. Using 1000 words for writing your answers is not important. Just use correct points to describe the answer otherwise it will confuse the examiner. Use the pointers according to the marking of the answer. If it is a short answer and carries five marks then just use five points and describe it correctly.

7.   Use Correct sequencing for your answer: It’s important to write a structured answer while you are writing a CA exam. Use the correct stuff for explaining the answer and put them correctly. For example, if you are answering a case study question then you must write three paragraphs. The case factors must be mentioned in the first paragraph, in the second, discuss the legislation that applies, and lastly conclude how it affects things. It is easier to express your answer succinctly when you maintain a timeline of events.

8.   Read the question carefully: Many times students are in a hurry to write the paper and in that hurry sometimes they don’t even read the question correctly and write the wrong answers. Just think it’s so absurd, you are wasting your crucial time in writing a wrong answer. So don’t do this, read the question correctly and then only write your answer.

9.   The True False Questions: You must attempt the true false questions in your CA exam as they’ll provide you the two points for each one correct answer. Instead of giving long explanations you can just give a small answer and can gain points.

10.   The quantity of questions: Choose only those questions that you know well instead of attempting too many questions. If you will choose those questions about which you are not sure then how will you be able to answer them correctly. It will just kill your time. Read the whole question paper carefully and take out those top five questions about which your concept is damn clear.
