For the academic year 2022-2023, the Ministry of Education has introduced the Common University Test (CUET) for admissions to all Undergraduate Programs in all Central Universities. The National Test Agency (NTA), which was founded in 2017 to administer entrance tests to higher education institutions, is hosting the CUET. Candidates from all over the country, particularly those from rural and distant areas, are given the same platform and are treated equally. Candidates can cover a wide range of topics and participate in the admission process for many Central Universities by taking this exam.
This exam was firstly known as CUCET, which was administered by UGC, but last year its name was changed to CUET. Till last year this exam was conducted in an offline manner, but now it’s in an online way.
Top Central Universities including Aligarh Muslim University, Assam University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Central University of South Bihar, Central University of Gujrat, Central University of Haryana, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Central University of Jammu, and the University of Allahabad are the universities which are participating in the CUET Exam, that any aspirant can choose for his or her admission in undergraduate courses according to their subjects by giving the CUET Exam.
The selection in the CUET Exam will be done strictly on the basis of the marks that anyone would score after appearing in the exam, and not on the basis of board exams marks.
Any aspirant who has completed their 12th board or those who have given the exam this year are eligible to appear in the CUET Exam.
SYLLABUS OF CUET:
The CUET exam consists of 33 languages and 27 Domain-Specific Subjects.
There are three sections in the exam. The first section is the language section, the second is the Domain Specific Subject and the third one is the general test.
